The National Science Foundation (NSF) AgTech Engine is advancing breakthrough technology designed to protect and strengthen U.S. farming operations amid growing threats to the nation’s food supply.

From labor shortages and increasing supply costs to resource depletion and extreme

weather events, multiple stressors are impacting America’s agriculture sector. Left unchecked, these stressors could lead to higher food prices, job losses, and threats to food security.

With support from the NSF Regional Innovation Engines program, the

NSF AgTech Engine is rising to meet these challenges. Leveraging collaborations between global agriculture and technology companies, growers, universities, tribal organizations, and workforce development organizations, the NSF Engine is advancing solutions that lower costs and increase agricultural yields for farmers across North Dakota and beyond.
