The FARMS Vision aims to establish a leading global AgTech Engine in North Dakota, fostering a vibrant ecosystem for the co-design of new technologies, services, and startups. Its mission is to combat food insecurity and establish equitable agricultural opportunities through innovation, education, and collaboration. FARMS is committed to powering ideas that will feed the world, leveraging North Dakota's unique agricultural and educational resources.

The FARMS Vision is a transformative initiative designed to ignite a new era of AgTech leadership, accelerate the AgTech ecosystem, and amplify its impact both regionally and globally. With ambitious goals outlined in the FARMS Moonshot 2034, such as significantly increasing productivity and yield, developing new companies focused on Ag Technology, and upskilling individuals in AgTech, FARMS is poised to make substantial contributions to food security and agricultural innovation. North Dakota's diverse cropping systems, renowned AgTech brands, unique educational resources including the Tribal College System, and vibrant innovation and entrepreneurship hubs provide a fertile ground for FARMS' activities. Recent leadership transitions and the addition of new partners have further strengthened the initiative. The operational structure of FARMS, including its DEIA strategies and governance, is designed to ensure accountability and foster an inclusive AgTech ecosystem. Programmatic activities aligned with FARMS strategic priorities aim to cultivate new leaders, enhance workforce development, promote economic growth, and foster cross-cultural relationships within the agricultural sector.
